Soil remediation in Chili.
BioSoil International is presently involved in a pilot project in the windy and cold plains of Tierra del Fuego (Fireland), Chile. In the past decades this area was surveyed for oil. Oil production at this area has ceased a long time ago. What is left are more than 600 pollutes sites adjacent to former oil wells. How do you remediate these sites in a cost effective way? The experiments of BioSoil provided the answer.

VOPAK: 100.000 tons of soil decontaminated on site
In the Europoort area, BioSoil last year decontaminated a location of chemical storage multinational VOPAK (15Ha). More than 100.000 tons of soil contaminated with approximately 9,000 mg/kg mineral oil was treated on-site by biological degradation. Under strict deadlines the remediation targets were reached within 18 months.
