Practical advice

General
BioSoil is not an environmental consultancy agency, but rather a contractor performing remediation operations. Thus BioSoil advice deals with matters involving the practical realization of remediation operations. At BioSoil you get advice from people who really have the practical experience: our project leaders. They work on problem solving remediation operations throughout the Netherlands on a daily basis, constantly facing very different contaminants and situations. As a result they are well aware of the state-of-the-art remediation methods and techniques that lead to optimum practical results. Furthermore, they have experience with the types of surprises that may arise during a remediation operation and their advice will always be based on the interest of the client. This advice may include:

  • Formulating (partial) remediation plans for in situ and on site techniques
  • Inquiring after subsidy possibilities and handling the application for these subsidies
  • Handling the environmental permits relevant to the remediation operation
  • Consultations with the authorities and other interested parties
Support for the remediation plan
Completing more than 230 remediation operations has given BioSoil a wealth of practical experience. This enables BioSoil to make fairly accurate predictions regarding which techniques will lead to optimum results at a certain location and which will not. Asking BioSoil project leaders for a second opinion or asking them to assist in formulating a remediation plan, for example in the form of a preparatory construction team, has advantages including:
· Increased cost-effectiveness of the remediation operation
· Certainty about the technical and practical feasibility of the remediation plan
· Shortest possible duration of the remediation operation

Subsidy possibilities
Various subsidy schemes apply to soil remediation operations. The conditions and the possibilities vary strongly and change regularly. BioSoil project leaders have ample experience with the various schemes and can tell you exactly what scheme offers the best possibilities for your situation. They can also handle your application.

Environmental permits
The realization of soil remediation operations is governed by strict regulations and there is a strong interaction between the regulations and the remediation plan. The approach to the remediation operation largely determines the environmental permits required. At the same time the arrangement and the conditions of the permits directly influence both the cost-effectiveness and the efficiency of the remediation operation. Because of their broad experience, BioSoil project leaders know exactly which permits should be applied for your situation. They also have a lot of experience in obtaining permits that enhance the efficiency of the remediation operation. Thus, if you let us take care of inquiring after and applying for the relevant environmental permits, the matter is in good hands.

Consultations with the authorities and other third parties
In the preparation phase and during the realization of a soil remediation operation regular consultations with the authorities and other parties involved is essential. BioSoil has ample experience in efficiently organizing and realizing this type of communication. From residents' committees to aldermen, BioSoil is always a full and respected partner in the discussion, which guarantees optimum protection of your interests.
