Excellent facilities

Unique
BioSoil has its own special facilities for realizing cost-effective and sustainable remediation operations for every soil contamination situation:

  • BioSoil Technical Department
  • Excellently equipped research facilities
  • Dynamic air quality monitoring system
BioSoil Technical Department
A remediation operation is custom-made. Many locations are so unique that the materials and equipment available on the market are inadequate. That is why BioSoil has its own, specialized Technical Department where, for example, our technicians construct remediation units that are impervious to explosions and custom-made for application at a petrochemical production site. This is only one example of the special features or adjustments to equipment they realize every day.

Outstandingly equipped research facilities
Natural attenuation is the basis for many of our remediation operations. Optimization of the conditions in the soil is essential to enable this process to occur quickly and efficiently. Thanks to our research facility we can quickly analyze what optimization steps are required. Testing new materials, techniques and equipment is another important activity.

Dynamic air quality monitoring system
The release of volatile compounds at remediation sites may be a risk to the workers at the site and the residents in the vicinity of the location. In collaboration with our subsidiary CoMon Invent, BioSoil has developed an on-line system with sensitive gas sensors. These sensors constantly monitor the concentrations of certain gasses at and around the site and will automatically raise an alarm if the preset values are exceeded.

Soil remediation in Chili (Update)
Last summer BioSoil International, through its subisidary BioSoil Chile SpA, succesfully finished the remediation contract of 72 contaminated former drilling pits for oil and gas production/exploration. This year the results in the last pits will be verified...

Thermally Enhanced mobilization and reductive Dehalogenation of a VOC Contaminated Site
ABSTRACT: A pilot VOC remediation is executed in a residential area in The Netherlands. The aim of the pilot is to investigate the efficiency of thermally enhanced mobilization and reductive dehalogenation and to reach groundwater target values of 20 μg/L for PCE, 262 for TCE, 10 for cis...
