The basic principles of a biological in situ remediation are relatively simple. The soil functions as a bioreactor; when the conditions for the micro flora of degraders is sufficiently improved, the rest will follow as a matter of course. To achieve this, each in situ remediation operation is a customized job. Soil conditions differ and the soil structure, the hydrology and the environment (buildings and infrastructure) have to be taken into account.
Remediation operations may be quite extensive and this may increase the lack of certainty regarding the proposed solution. Developing remediation concepts is exactly what BioSoil R&D is very experienced in. This experience can be used for a fresh look at a developed concept in order to arrive at the most optimal solution for cleaning the soil in a certain area.
