Compound transfer

General
The transfer of compounds from the soil matrix to the micro organisms that have to perform the degradation are of major importance in realizing an in situ remediation operation. Research into the behaviour of lubricant and sagging layers is conducted in the laboratory as well as in the field. A method has been developed to stimulate micro organisms to produce bio surfactants for mineral oil, which dramatically improves the availability of oil for degradation in an in situ remediation operation.
